Salaam'alaykum...

while listening to Native Deen's songs..
Mas: Kak Lang, why your songs are like kak Long's and kak Ngah's- like "yo, yo"..- but Muslim songs?

Me: (stiffling laughter) Yeah, songs can be any type, "yo,yo" (hiphop) ke... but we must learn something...like..about Islam..

Mas: (grins & does the 'hip-hop'py moves)

In His Name- the Most merciful Most Gracious....

Looking Glass

by Native Deen

I saw a friend just the other day

We took a walk around the way
The sky was blue and his face was grey
I asked him what could cause such dismay?
He tallied his life and he noticed the score
He felt his pain he never felt before
He said it feels like He (Allah) can't love me no more
No No No No

He can't love me anymore
It's a fact that I know for sure
I started out this life so pure
But He can't love me anymore
He went on about the past
To listen with patience was my only task
No need to pry and no need to ask
His words to me were my looking glass
And with much pain his heart did pour
With this feeling never felt before
He said it feels like, He (Allah) can't love me no more
No No No, No!

~

I asked my friend how can this be?
Not the One Who created me
Cause if our sins outweighed the sea
Forgiveness comes so easily
Just repent and stay to the task
To make an effort is all He asks
And don't get bogged down by the past
His mercy outweighs His wrath
And He can love you once more
It's a fact that I know for sure
We started out this life so pure
But He can love you once more
And He can love you once more
It's a fact that I know for sure
We started out this life so pure
But He can love you once more.

i love You too...='(

In the name of Allah- the Most Merciful Most Gracious
Salaam'alaykum...

Alhambra -Granada, Spain

***
I've got nothing much to say about the Alhambra in Spain, in actual fact. Heh.
It's just that one night when we (my family and I) was on our way to fetch Kak Ngah, the Alhamra sung by Fareast was on air. My mother knew I like that song (I guess she enjoys it too.hah) so she asked,

"Ape tu Alhambra, Adida?"

Heh. Cute lah Ummi. My father then answered, it's a Muslim palace. Well, my father elaborated about its history. And I promptly joined in.So after much 'discussion', (lol. sempat tau dlm kereta ni.) suddenly I just realised- I miss learning Islamic History! =(

Oh no. Missing-mode is on. So just bear with me for a couple of minutes alright?

Then just last night we took my father's friend, who's from Brunei, for a ride. Before meeting him, my father and I talked about Brunei and its oil issues and such- about experts saying it's predicted that the oil will run out soon since the last 10 years but there is still more oil and there are more oil stations yet to be discovered. Cool, huh? So on and on we talked, until I came to my senses- I miss learning Geography too! Hmph. Be it physical or human geog, I want to learn Geography again! With Sir Isa of course. And the Geography girls. *winks*

...........
...........
...........

We knew it was hard- learning the hard stuff. Yet when we've succeeded, with Allah's Help and Will,we miss doing it now.

I miss my friends- EnNaeem mates, Ma'arifians, MWTians, MSPians. I pray the best for them. May Allah guide us all and make us His mujahideen n mujahidaat. Ameen. =)

Wassalam.
